The 3 course evening meal was genuinely excellent, most probably the best dinner we ate on the whole TMB. Gîte Le Moulin. Check in is at 3 ish and the staff was lovely and helpful. Thank you.We were hiking the TMB and stopped at this lovely refuge, set just off a glacier run off river, in a lovely field of flowers and pine trees.

But, Le Moulin does all this in a lovely, friendly, clean, traditional style. The showers had warm water and were clean.

If you get there early take a stroll down to Argentière - it’s walking distance and too quaint to miss! I had wanted to stay as close as possible to the TMB, and although the Le Moulin was not my first choice, I found it to be close and convenient to the TMB and not much further away than the closer alberge.Payments made by partners impact the order of prices displayed.

Lots of dinner salad, meat, bread and Apple pudding. Clean and comfortable beds and pillows. Date of stay: September 2016. I really enjoyed my stay and think this is a great stop on the TMB.

The Gite Le Moulin was located just off the Chamonix Bus line just outside the town limits of Argentiere, on the 2nd to last bus stop. Show less. Dinner was bursting with flavor. It's a true "refuge", so, you have to work by the "refuge rules" and can't check in till after 3, communal showers, dormitory sleeping and so on. Own or manage this property? From start to finish, everything was perfect and this extremely helpful and friendly proprietor sets a high bar for all other refuges. A very friendly, clean and well run gite with great food and a nice lounge with books and comfy chairs. Opening period: Open from the 15th December 2019 until the 29th September 2020.
