- Our room was hot and stuffy. Our villa was number 1, right next to the main lodge. It is peacefully set in a tropical park and allows the customers to take advantage of activities around the... Our first night was very fast and good service. The beach is just steps away and a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. The villa was beautiful with a separate bedroom, bathroom and sitting area. All the rooms are on both sides of the main building. Its deffo worth exploring the village and having a cold beer at one of the shacks My main feedback would be around breakfast which we found was quite limited. Les Dunes d'Ifaty offer very good standard of accommodation in Ifaty. Most hotels in Madagascar prefer you to pre order your dinners during the day (something your quickly learn).

Where to start... - They didn't serve dinner until 7:30PM and our food didn't come out until 8:10 which is ridiculous. Yet, it is an amazing endemic species from Madagascar.
Own or manage this property? Food was good and servings were ample. Well structured - clean and great set up Our food was not as great ( maybe because of the conference package) ; little more imagination for the breakfast proposal please!
Once again we have found everything spotless, excellent helpful staff and good food. We had lunch by the beach on the second day which was a lovely view however the problem is that there are lots of beach sellers walking up and down and watching you eat so it makes it rather uncomfortable, You will notice that hardly anyone sits & enjoys the beach and that is because the sellers are so persistent - its a real shame.

Our friends who also had 4 bags went through the same thing. (thats for two people in total)Had a couple of nights here at the end of a 18 day journey around Madagascar. Although the power goes off at midnight, the lights and aircon are battery powered. The main building is designed following a wide-open-style structure, the roofing being supported by large pillars, with a seven metre high tree in the centre. It is mostly local.
