Lots of people are improving quickly. This was a shortish interval so the back bunch never had a chance to catch up. Brush it off and get more miles in next week.We are mid way through November and we can already see fitness levels rising quickly. It is possible to turn up at our Saturday cycle and breeze through it feeling like you have done little. Some communication issues also meant that the front group didn’t actually start rolling over on time. As each month passes by the training gets a little bit tougher. We are now heading into the last week in November.
Please note that all Munster events need to be registered for at least a week before event (so if you are interested in competing on 10 th November in Castlelyons, please register this weekend). Thankfully the terrible weather of the day before had cleared off and we had sun and just a gentle breeze for the cycle. This time the front groups numbers had been cut almost in half. The back bunch came into Dolla a few minutes after. This is probably the one trophy you don’t want to get your hands on!Our 7th Saturday cycle since we started our winter training was pretty tough for most today. This was our first time repeating one of our routes, so it was a good chance to see how much you have progressed over the last while.As usual the racing group met up at 8:00am for a little extra. The front bunch stayed out of sight for a long time but once we hit the hills before Templederry the back bunch closed the gap quickly and passed.This week the finish of the interval was pushed back to Dolla.

No harm with that!The first interval from Roscrea to Templemore saw the racing group catch the first group before the end.
Triathlon Club.
People are clearly not heeding the advice not to overdo it.
The route this week took us to Roscrea – Templemore – Borrisoleigh – Templederry and Dolla. If you had a bad day on the bike – don’t worry about it – we all have good days and bad days.
Triathlon Club at CMU. There were 8 out at this and the going was pretty easy. Getting up early in the morning might be a pain in the neck at first but you soon get used to it.First of all, congratulations on making a life changing decision!
It is also very easy to overdo it and have yourself wrecked. Shane Scully, hang your head in shame!The group pushed onwards towards Birdhill and then split in two for interval work over to O’Brien’s Bridge. The large bunch headed out towards Toomevara. 74 likes. December is always a busy month, with Christmas parties, trips away, Christmas shopping etc. They were clearly moving along at a decent pace.After 3o mins of rolling, the two bunches came together in unfortunate circumstances. In these instances the back bunch need to keep rolling over until they make contact with the first bunch. !There will be a suitable handicap between each group on the road. In Templemore, the racing group had to stop to fix a puncture. Start dreaming and then start working towards making those dreams a reality.
This meant that everyone had to push up and over the top of Ormond Style and down the descent to Dolla. You should try and aim for at least 3 swims per week. A puncture in the racing group resulted in a group decision to stop – this means there will be quite a chase back to the main bunch. This all resulted in the back bunch catching the front group pretty early into the cycle. As you know, it’s all just a bit of a laugh – so don’t be worrying about it.
The route was the longest of the 6 we normally use so well done to everyone for getting through.
Luckily he was still in one piece after flying out over the handle bars but the same couldn’t be said about his bike which was badly smashed up.
